MP Materials Q3 2026 results: revenue rose 176% to $147.7 million and adjusted EBITDA turned positive, lifting the stock 2.5% in after-hours trading.
MP Materials (NYSE: MP) shares rose 2.45% in after-hours trading on November 5, 2026, after the rare earths producer released its MP Materials Q3 2026 results. Revenue jumped 176% year over year to $147.7 million, from $53.6 million.
What MP Materials reported
| Metric | This period | A year earlier | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $147.7 million | $53.6 million | +176% |
| Adjusted EBITDA | $41.1 million | -$12.6 million | +$53.7 million |
| Net loss | -$20.7 million | -$41.8 million | Narrowed 50% |
| Adjusted diluted EPS | $0.04 | -$0.10 | +$0.14 |

Adjusted EBITDA is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, with items such as stock-based pay and start-up costs removed. Adjusted EPS is profit per share on the same adjusted basis. NdPr (neodymium-praseodymium) is the rare earth material used to make permanent magnets.
Revenue included a one-off $31.6 million sale of SEG+ to a U.S. aerospace and defense customer, plus higher NdPr prices. The company also booked $8.1 million of price protection agreement income, which it reports separately from revenue. Not every unit grew: Magnetics Segment revenue fell 15% to $18.6 million, which the company tied to the start-up of magnet production at its Independence facility.
Why the stock rose 2.5% after hours
This is an early after-hours read on thin volume and can change by the next session's open. Two details stand out. MP completed its GM magnet qualification, with saleable magnet deliveries and revenue starting in the fourth quarter, a step CEO James Litinsky called "an inflection point for our business and mission." And the Materials Segment posted $47.8 million of adjusted EBITDA, against a $14.5 million loss a year earlier.
