Evommune (EVMN) Stock Rises on $1.1B EVO570 License Deal

By Himma Editorial 2 min read

Evommune stock rose 13.1% on November 5, 2026 after it licensed the oral VAV1 degrader EVO570 from Hinova in a deal worth up to about $1.1 billion.

Evommune stock rose 13.1% in early regular trading on November 5, 2026, after the clinical-stage biotech announced an exclusive license for EVO570, an experimental oral pill for autoimmune disease, from China's Hinova Pharmaceuticals. Evommune will pay $30 million upfront, and Hinova can earn up to about $1.1 billion more if the drug reaches development and sales goals.

What happened

Evommune gets worldwide rights to EVO570 outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, which Hinova keeps. The drug is a molecular glue degrader, a small molecule that sends a protein called VAV1 to the cell's disposal system. Evommune says VAV1 is largely confined to immune cells, unlike the JAK enzymes targeted by some current pills, which it argues could mean better safety.

The upfront payment splits into $20 million in cash and $10 million in pre-funded warrants, which let Hinova buy 1,262,413 Evommune shares for $0.001 each. Hinova can also earn up to $150 million for development and regulatory steps and up to $920 million for commercial goals, plus royalties (a percentage of sales) from mid single digits to low double digits.

The same filing disclosed a private placement of 4,966,889 new shares at $6.04 each, raising about $30.0 million before fees. Evommune estimates it will then hold about $292.3 million in cash and investments, enough to fund operations into the second half of 2029.

Why the stock rose 13.1%

The move was about three times the stock's typical daily swing. The deal expands Evommune's pipeline into T- and B-cell-driven diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis for $20 million in cash, against a market value of about $308 million, with most of the headline value payable only if the drug succeeds. The share sale brought in roughly as much as the total upfront price.

What to watch next for Evommune stock

  • Start of the Phase 1 trial, which tests EVO570's safety and how the body processes it.

  • Closing of the private placement, expected on or about November 6, 2026.

  • The planned Phase 2 trial in rheumatoid arthritis in 2027.

FAQ

What is EVO570 and where is it in development?

Hinova discovered it under the name HC118, and requests to begin human trials have been submitted in China and accepted in the United States. In preclinical tests it showed greater potency in human immune cells than competing VAV1 degraders, according to the company.

How long will Evommune pay royalties to Hinova?

Royalties run product by product and country by country until the latest of patent expiry, the end of regulatory exclusivity, or 10 years after the first sale in that country. The full contract will be filed with Evommune's annual report for fiscal 2026.
