Joby Aviation (JOBY) Stock Rises on Raised Revenue Outlook

By Himma Editorial 2 min read

Joby Aviation stock rose 3.7% on November 5, 2026 after Q3 revenue of $55 million and a 15% lift in its full-year outlook to $135 million to $140 million.

Joby Aviation (NYSE: JOBY) shares were up 3.7% in intraday trading on November 5, 2026, the morning after the air taxi developer released its third quarter 2026 results. Joby Aviation raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook by 15% to a range of $135 million to $140 million.

What Joby Aviation reported

Third quarter revenue was $55 million, coming mainly from Blade, the passenger air transport business Joby owns in the United States and Europe. Blade had a record quarter, flying more than 44,000 passengers. The raised outlook (guidance, meaning the company's own forecast) covers total revenue for the full year 2026.

On its electric air taxi, Joby said it completed a wide range of "for credit" testing, meaning tests that count toward approval, in the fifth and final stage of FAA type certification. It now has 17 aircraft in production, and its autonomy-focused contracts with the U.S. Air Force were expanded to about $37 million. Its J208 aircraft completed what the company called the first fully autonomous flight of a civilian aircraft across the U.S.

Why the stock rose 3.7%

The gain was about three times the size of a typical day's swing for Joby shares in regular trading. The 15% increase in the revenue outlook was the clearest new number in the release. Progress toward FAA certification also mattered, because approval is the step Joby needs before carrying paying passengers in its own aircraft. CEO JoeBen Bevirt said the company "made important progress on the fifth and final stage of certification."

What to watch next

  • Completion of the fifth and final stage of FAA type certification

  • Closing of the planned acquisition of defense technology company Resonant Sciences

  • Next steps in the White House-backed eIPP program after first flights in Texas and Florida
