By Himma Editorial 2 min read

QuinStreet stock rose 7.7% on November 5, 2026 after fiscal Q1 revenue jumped 46% to $416.7 million and the company raised its full-year outlook.

QuinStreet (NASDAQ: QNST) shares were up 7.71% in regular trading on November 5, 2026, the session after the company reported record fiscal first quarter 2027 results and raised its full-year outlook. Revenue for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 rose 46% year over year to $416.7 million.

What QuinStreet reported

Metric This period A year earlier Change
Revenue $416.7M $285.9M +46%
Home Services revenue $145.7M $78.4M +86%
Net income $17.0M $4.5M +275%
Adjusted EBITDA $42.7M $20.5M +108%
Adjusted EPS $0.50 $0.22 +127%

Adjusted EBITDA is profit before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, stock-based pay and one-off costs. Adjusted EPS is profit per share on a similar basis. Financial Services, the larger segment, grew revenue 31% to $271.0 million. GAAP diluted earnings per share were $0.29, against $0.08 a year earlier.

The company raised its guidance (its own forecast) for fiscal 2027 to revenue of $1.5 to $1.6 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $155 to $165 million. At the midpoints, that implies 20% revenue growth and 42% adjusted EBITDA growth. For fiscal Q2 it expects revenue of $360 to $380 million and adjusted EBITDA of $32 to $33 million.

Why the stock rose 7.7%

The gain was a bit more than twice the size of a typical day's swing for the stock. The likely drivers were adjusted EBITDA more than doubling on 46% revenue growth, and the raised full-year outlook. CEO Doug Valenti pointed to "continued strength and broadening of carrier demand in Auto Insurance" and said "there may be opportunities to grow revenue and expand margins even further."

What to watch next

  • Fiscal Q2 results against the $360 to $380 million revenue guidance.

  • Progress on integrating HomeBuddy into the Home Services platform.

  • Auto insurance carrier spending and QuinStreet's expansion in that vertical.
