RVMD Stock Falls 6.2% After First RASONQUE Sales Quarter

By Himma Editorial 2 min read

Revolution Medicines stock fell 6.2% on November 5 after Q3 results showed $197.6 million in first RASONQUE sales and a wider $407.5 million net loss.

Revolution Medicines (RVMD) stock fell 6.15% in trading on November 5, 2026, the session after the company reported third-quarter 2026 results. The report showed $197.6 million in net product revenue from RASONQUE (daraxonrasib), its newly approved pancreatic cancer drug, from about five weeks of sales.

What Revolution Medicines reported

Metric This period A year earlier Change
RASONQUE net product revenue $197.6M $0 First sales
Research and development expenses $417.1M $262.5M +59%
Selling, general and administrative (SG&A, overhead and sales costs) $153.3M $52.8M +190%
Net loss $407.5M $305.2M +34%
Net loss per share $1.90 $1.61 +18%

The FDA approved RASONQUE on August 26, 2026, and more than 5,000 patients received it commercially by September 30. Early revenue included patients moving over from the U.S. Expanded Access Program (free pre-approval access), patients who had been waiting for an approved option, and initial stocking of inventory by distributors.

Cost of sales was only $0.3 million because the drug sold had been made before approval and its cost was already booked as research spending. The net loss included a $40.7 million non-cash charge tied to warrants. The company kept its full-year 2026 operating expense guidance (its own forecast) at $2.1 billion to $2.2 billion.

Why the stock fell 6.2%

The drop was about one and a half times the size of a typical day's swing for the stock, notable but not extreme. The filing itself cautioned that the waiting-patient and program-transition boost are "finite early-launch dynamics" and that third-quarter results "should not be viewed as indicative of the launch's longer-term trajectory." Sharply higher spending on the launch and trials, which widened the quarterly loss, is the other detail most likely weighing on shares.

What to watch next

  • A European Commission decision on daraxonrasib after the positive CHMP (EU drug committee) opinion.

  • Fourth-quarter RASONQUE revenue, the first full quarter without most one-off launch effects.

  • RASolve 301 lung cancer trial enrollment closing by end of November 2026, with a readout expected in 2027.
