Permian Basin Royalty Trust is an express oil and gas royalty trust that holds overriding royalty interests in producing properties in Texas. Its principal assets include interests in the Waddell Ranch properties in Crane County and in a broader group of Texas Royalty properties across multiple counties. The trust is designed to collect royalty income from mature oil and natural gas fields and distribute the net proceeds to unit holders after administrative expenses. As a passive vehicle, it does not conduct exploration or production operations; instead, its role in the market is to provide direct exposure to royalty-based cash flows from established energy assets. Permian Basin Royalty Trust remains focused on royalty interests tied to Texas upstream energy production and the ongoing output of its underlying properties.
